Driving Distances in Yucatan Mexico

Getting Around In The Yucatan

Flying into Cancun? Renting your own car? Don’t be worried! Getting around in the Yucatan is easy. Going from Cancun to your hotel, Posada Yum Kin, in Tulum you will find that the roads are amazingly well-kept, even by International standards. Highway 307 leading south is a well-developed, four lane, divided highway that comes close to perfection. This busy route has recently added raised bypasses that limit cross traffic. These are placed in some of the larger cities along the way, like Playa del Carmen.

There are many full-service gas stations throughout the Yucatan, all or most accept credit cards and US dollars. We found the credit card was the better way to go and consistently gave the best exchange rate.
